The Investigation

You are neuroscientists investigating a patient with abnormal reflexes. The patient's neurons may be "malfunctioning" because of incorrect thresholds, faulty resets, or weak stimuli.

Your task: simulate these neurons and diagnose what's wrong with them.

1 Run the simulation with each case (A, B, C, D)
2 Observe the firing behavior: Too often? Never fires? Fails to reset?
3 Diagnose the fault: Which parameter is causing the problem?
4 Suggest a fix: What parameter value would create "normal" behavior?

Investigation Clues

Case Type: High Threshold
Voltage rises but never crosses threshold → 0 spikes
Case Type: Low Threshold
Fires almost every step → "Spike!" at every time step
Case Type: Bad Reset
Fires once, then fails to return to resting → abnormal pattern
Case Type: Weak Stimulus
Voltage climbs slowly → maybe 1 spike in many steps
